Definitions

Standards & Exclusivity

Plain-language definitions for accepted, exclusive, phone confirmed, fresh, and replacement eligible.

DemandSeal’s commercial terms should use definitions that can be tested against the system record. This pre-launch standard describes the intended direction; the binding version will be published before inventory is activated.

Draft standard · Version 0.1

Published for founding-buyer review. Not a representation that live inventory, coverage, pricing, or volume is currently available.

Accepted lead

A submitted request that passes every required field and knockout in the active buyer specification, completes the required phone confirmation step, and contains the required evidence events before assignment.

Exclusive

DemandSeal assigns the accepted lead to one buyer and does not sell, share, or reassign that lead through its own distribution system. Any exceptional technical-failure rule must be disclosed in the buyer terms before activation.

Exclusivity does not mean that the prospect has never independently contacted another provider elsewhere.

Phone confirmed

Someone completing the request entered a valid one-time code delivered to the submitted phone number within the allowed time and attempt limits. It does not establish legal identity, business ownership, authority, creditworthiness, or future contactability.

Fresh and delivered immediately

Freshness is measured from original submission, not export or resale time. The record separates submission, confirmation, assignment, delivery attempt, and delivery outcome. A numerical delivery SLA will not be advertised until production measurements support it.

Self-reported data

Revenue, deposits, credit range, time in business, existing positions, use of funds, and applicant role are treated as applicant declarations unless a specific field is clearly marked as independently verified.

Replacement eligibility

The final buyer agreement will define objective defects. The intended categories include:

  • Duplicate previously delivered by DemandSeal under the agreed duplicate window.
  • Technically invalid required contact information at delivery.
  • Ineligible geography or an answer outside the contracted acceptance threshold.
  • Missing required evidence, consent, assignment, or delivery event.

Failure to contact, underwriting rejection, changed intent, or failure to fund is not automatically a qualifying defect.

One standard, versioned over time

Material changes to definitions, acceptance fields, exclusivity, evidence, or replacement rules should produce a new published version. The record should identify which version governed a delivered lead.

Standards should match buyer operations

Founding buyers can review the draft definitions and help remove ambiguity before the first pilot specification becomes binding.
